Reclaiming the Narrative: Amplifying the Fight Against ME/CFS with #NotJustFatigue
In collaboration with #NotJustFatigue, we created a powerful suite of videos to raise awareness and drive action for those living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). This included a 15-minute documentary film telling Elizabeth’s story, a ten-part short-form video series exploring the challenges of ME/CFS, and additional creative content aimed at educating the public and mobilizing support. Through authentic storytelling and cinematic visuals, the campaign shed light on the devastating reality of the disease, connected with audiences on a personal level, and positioned #NotJustFatigue as a leading voice in the fight for awareness, funding, and change.
Project Type: Short Doc & Series Production

• Short-Form Video Series: Created a ten-part series tackling specific challenges, such as societal misunderstanding and lack of funding for ME/CFS research.
• Emotional Connection: Leveraged powerful visuals and personal narratives to connect deeply with audiences and humanize the issue.
• Advocacy Impact: Supported #NotJustFatigue’s efforts to secure meetings with Congressional staffers and advance research funding initiatives.
• Raising Awareness: Provided a cohesive, cinematic campaign that educated the public, inspired action, and amplified the voices of those affected by ME/CFS.
Working with Folio Films is an incredible experience. They collaborated with me to bring my story—and the stories of so many others living with ME/CFS—to life with care, creativity, and cinematic quality. Their ability to capture the emotion and complexity of this disease has been essential in helping us raise awareness, inspire action, and reach people who otherwise might never have understood the reality of ME/CFS. I couldn’t be more grateful for their partnership and dedication.
